We are a very active group who like to get out into the community and help our environment through many different activities like shoreline clean ups and planting trees along with other fun activities and camps. At 9th Pickering we don’t collect weekly dues nor have additional group fees instead we rely 100% on community fund raising to pay for weekly supplies.
The 9th Pickering Scout Group operates out of Valley Farm Public School and St Wilfrid Catholic School located in the neighbourhood of Brock Road and Finch Avenue.
Registration for our Fall progam is now open via www.myscouts.ca or by completing a registration form and leaving it along with your cheque in our Group Registrar's mailbox at 1892 Liverpool Road. In 2014-2015 we'll be operating four youth sections:
Volunteer parents are always welcome to join the fun on their Youth’s Scouting Adventure. If you would like additional information please send us an email at email@example.com and we will be happy to send you some information or give you call. Leaders from all sections are always willing to answer parents questions and we welcome youths to join us all year long. Youth are always invited to visit and try out Scouts for a few nights to ensure Scouting is a good fit.
Ongoing efforts for recycling of Broken/Unwanted Electronics (TV's, VCR's, Computers, Monitors, Printers, Fax machines, photocopies, etc)
Scrap Metal (car parts, car batteries, appliances, metal items)
Aluminum Cans (preferably crushed, have the kids jump on them)
